National Marine Aquarium is a great day out for all the family and is located in the beautiful county of Devon. In the aquarium there are lots of aquatic creatures, including Sea Horses, Tropical fish, Terrapins, Frogs, Octopus, Piranhas, Sea Anemones, Jellyfish, Turtles, Starfish, Salt Water fish, Crabs, Lion fish, Eels and Sea Snails.

What student ID can I use?
Any form of physical student ID is accepted, as well as online forms like UNiDAYS, Student Beans, and your University portal or email.
Can I bring my pet?
Sadly, due to our zoo license that, only licensed service and assistance animals are allowed in the Aquarium
Can I smoke at the Aquarium?
We do not allow any form of smoking inside the building. This includes the use of any e-cigarette/vaping devices. This is to ensure that we avoid any confusion on reports of sources of smoke within the building. We do have a garden in which members of the public may smoke if they wish.
Can we bring a picnic with us?
Yes, you’re very welcome to bring a picnic with you when visiting the Aquarium. We ask that all picnics are eaten outside and request that your waste is taken home with you for responsible disposal.
Do I need to book before I visit?
We recommend all visitors to pre-book whether or not you are paying or using your complimentary annual return pass. We cannot guarantee entry without a booking, especially in peak periods such as holidays and weekends. Walk-ins will only be available if we have not reached full capacity for the building.
Is the soft play open?
Our soft play area is currently only open on weekends and during the school holidays between 10:30am & 3:30pm (dependent on staffing levels). Last entry session is 2:30pm. Tickets will need to be purchased on arrival, as they are not currently available online at this time.
